Only ever owned one Suhr and at the time, I was in full-on Hamer Cali fanaticism so, the 25" scale and the Gotoh Floyd didn't really sit well. Sorta kinda wish I still had it but in truth, if I was that enamored and determined, it'd already be here. ;)

That's super cool! I liked your approach in finding the best for you.

In light of that it probably didn't influence your decision but Ian Thornley is super talented! I saw Big Wreck open for King's X at The Masquerade in ATL several years ago. I walked away impressed!!

I confess I had no idea who Ian Thornley was, and Googled him there in the GC Platinum Room. My goodness that man can play. And sing.

This is one my favs but there's so much more. This one is played in an open G flat power chord tuning. It rocks and very creative. I like this live version better than the record version. He sings great too!

Apparently they have several signature models for him. A classic T, S and JM style, and a fuzz pedal too!

The whole Suhr thing passed me by as far as I didn't know when they started but just all of a sudden saw everyone playing them!

I think Pete Thorn was my first introduction to Suhr. I played a couple of them at Walter Carter's years ago in Nashville and was amazed at the fret work.

I have the Suhr ML Standard pickups in my Sherwood green partscaster - very Stratty with just a smidge of added umph. They've become my favorites for all around Strat use after trying a meelion different flavors (long story where I bought a Fender that wound up being just a bad sounding pile of firewood).
