Willie G. Moseley Posted July 24, 2025 Posted July 24, 2025 The 1984 Golden Earring concert that was on MTV back then featured Kooymans with a B.C. Rich ten-string Bich and a Gibson Marauder, of all things. His slightly-dark and overdriven tone was huge (listen to the wind-down of "Twilight Zone". Reminds me of the end of Talking Heads' "Once In A Lifetime" on the Stop Making Sense soundtrack. A live Golden Earring album called Something Heavy Going Down was released in that annum, but I prefer the dub of the concert (for me, it was VHS to cassette to CD-R). I still listen to it regularly on accouta it still holds up, IMO 4 Quote
