I hope nobody on here bought this.The pictures did not show what the finish really looked like.

Not to be contradictory (but I guess I am) but... with "relic-ing" being such a fad for a while now, there may be those who do want it, especially if it's the real thing.  Anyway, you can't hear the checking, unless maybe you're Eric Johnson.

Mine has it too.  But since I’ve had the bass since 1985 I am sorta proud of the checking.  Very awesome bass.

Its a nice bass ,looks to be all original but there pictures didn't show what showed up at my house.They offered me 50.00 off of 1325.00 but they also offered to take it back and pay for return shipping.They treated me fair in my book.

Sucks to not disclose the actual condition of the bass.

I sent it back.Only reason for post was to inform club members of condition in cace anyone was looking at it,

Glad you did what you needed to do, but I have to say, I am not up on the price of these basses these days since I have one, but as they say about real estate.   They aren't making anymore.   As a middle school science teacher I also know that is not true about real estate. But I also know that where it is being made is not always where it is wanted.   ramble ramble ramble.  Ha!   Those are very good basses!

@lastchild is absolutely right: no disclosure of the checking whatsoever. Serious Glamor Shots^TM in the CME ad!

It is not relisted on the CME site as of this morning.

OTOH, it does have the case and the trussrod cover.
