topekatj Posted yesterday at 04:24 AM Posted yesterday at 04:24 AM (edited) Some DANG nice maple, seems like someone liked the Hamer Special FM. https://www.craigslist.org/view/d/oakland-2002-gibson-les-paul-standard/w3oaQTZPJqoMDd9RLcR6Pa am I going blind or does this thing have 24 frets? @The Shark Edited 9 hours ago by topekatj 2 Quote
bubs_42 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Most have 24 frets, chambered body’s. My local shop used to be a Gibson dealer when these were new. They did some limited run 22 frets guitars. 1 1 Quote
geoff_hartwell Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I am not a gibby expert, but I think there was an initial run in the 90s and then a reissue about 2002-2005or6. Only bc a friend had an initial one and it came up when the second wave happened and I was already all in on Hamers. It’s a great set of specs, but can’t touch Artists and Duotones for me. Not sure if both runs had belly cuts. 2 Quote
murkat Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It's a good guitar, the 24 fret fretboard throws off the neck pickup out of the sweet spot, kinda nasley 1 1 Quote
The Shark Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Mine's straight up Les Paul. It's a 120th Anniversary made in 2014. Traditional thickness to the body (earlier ones were a little thinner). And no 24 frets. I paid a little less than that for mine and I think mine's worth more because of the Anniversary moniker. The guitar has grown on me. I do miss separate volumes and tones, but it's not a deal breaker. 3 Quote

I have the most killer PRS Santana I and I just can't get used to the scale. It's for sale. Edited 5 hours ago by The Shark 2 Quote
