Sweetness!! That is one of the nicest ones I had ever seen. I know someone that traded away a few year old BC Rich Explorer that was all Tung Oiled Mahogany :-) I wanted that one bad!! The only reason I didn`t/couldn`t was the neck was too darned thin, at least he was honest. Jack.

Scored this off Evil Bay. It is ready to go to Jacksonville to be refinned and have the internal organs replaced. According to emails with Neal Moser it is from "BC Rich South" A shop in Tijuana run by a personal friend of Bernie Rico Senior, Lan P. Combs. Combs and his 3-4 people assembeled bodies, then cut and cnc'ed them, and then sent them to BC Rich in El Monte, Ca. to finish them out with electronics and the BC Rich TLC. He said mine was probably left over stock and Lan just finished it or sold the body. I have all the right stuff for it to make it nice. New Leo Quan bridge, Black Sperzels, PRS Dragon pickups or 59'er/ Duncan Distortion, RS Guitarworks wiring set on the way. Gonna satin clear coat it.

The first time I remember seeing a Bich being played, was

when Aerosmith played at the California Jam '78. Joe Perry

was playing his red Bich, with Bill Lawrence pickups in it. On Saturday

evenings during the summer of '78, they'd show 3 or 4 performers from

the concert. Joe Perry jamming to Toys In The Attic on his Bich made

a big impression on me.

I don't think I've been right since.

I remember that, and I think he was touting it in his Guitar Player interview, same timeframe. I saw Aerosmith on their "Draw the Line" tour (AC/DC was the opener!) and I don't think he was using it then. I do remember a wall of Music Man amps, though, and his Dan Armstrong slide guitar.
