kenjones Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 It's a long shot, but does anybody have a Rickenbacker 360V64/6 they are looking to sell or trade? This is the six string version of the George Harrison 12-string model 360V64/12. I have a couple of guitars I would consider trading (including a Hamer). Let me know. Thanks - Ken
cmatthes Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Augh! I had one in a really flamey Mapleglo 6 during my Ric phase, but sold it, like an eeeediot.I would still like to find a 360V64/12 one of these days...
kenjones Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 The main reason I want a 360V64/6 is because I want the BIGGER inlays.I have a 330 in Fireglo. I love the way it sounds and plays, but the fret markers are so small that when I gig on a dark stage I can't see the fret markers!Plus - the 360V64/6 looks really cool...
seeker Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 If you're willing to go new buy, this guy has a TON of Rickies:Classic AxeDon't go by the online inventory, he's not too up on internet updates. He's got twenty to thirty in stock. Some on the walls, but quite a few in the back in cases. Rickenbacker is so backlogged, that not only is there a 12-18 month wait, but each dealer is assigned a max $ amount they can order.
serial Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Seeker-If they've got a blue boy (light blue opaque) 660/12, LET ME KNOW! Not on their website, but those are cool. Me and them damned pastel colors...
NeilZ Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Gotta Love them Ricks. I own a 330, a 360 Deluxe and a 620 Deluxe. Used to have a 325V59.FYI, the vintage RI models all seem to have a larger/fatter neck. You might also try this guywww.pickofthericks.comNever bought from him, but his stock looks great and his pricing is fair.
cmatthes Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Russ at Classic Axe is a good guy. I used to hang out there on my lunch breaks at my last job. Lotsa cool stuff. On good days, Turdus/Saxon or Rechts would join in the fun...
seeker Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Serial, will do bud. I'll probably hit there this weekend. Christo- you used to work near his shop and commute from MD? That's one hell of a commute

seeker Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Ken,Russ at Classic Axe has one, but it is "make me an offer" kinda thing (it's his personnel one).Serial - He doesn't have a 660/12 in Blue Boy. He's got a 330/12 in Blue Boy, and a 660/12 in Blue Burst! Just get both of them, hehehe.
