danhops Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Jackson USA AT-1 in trans blue $650+shipping Jackson PC-2 $825 + shipping
silentman Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Always liked the PC's. I don't have any scratch right now.Does the AT-1 have the 'pointy' 3+# headstock?
edgar_allan_poe Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I had a trans black stop tail AT-1 that kicked ass. The Armstrong pups have a very unique sound that isn't for everyone, but I liked it. I put a set of Duncans...I think it was a Jazz and a Custom 5 in it and it was a monster. The blank ebony boards on these are stunning.I had a PC-1 and to this day it is one of the very few guitars that I regret selling.

When I had it, they were close, but I preferred this one slightly more. I also had a 4x2 of this model in the same trans blue, but tonally this one was quite a bit better and nicer looking to boot. BTW, the pickups in her right now are Duncan JB and 59 with black bobbins. I will include the chrome Armstrongs as well.
danhops Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 Do you have more pics of the AT-1? its more blue than the pics show. My old camera really exagerated reds. The guitars in killer shape:)
silentman Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I passed on a similar model a few years ago. It had a TOM and exposed duncans with a coil push/pull. It was a great guitar. I think it had a set neck though. ANyone know what model that was?

I had one, but cant remember the name of the guitar...it was also short scale, the AT-1s are 25.5 I believe.
data187 Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 the at-1's are nice guitars.i had one but had to get rid of it cause the neck was like a baseball bat.my old at-1 had 59er and jb pickups in it and sounded remarkably like a les paul.

black magic Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 I believe the one with the Rosewood board and Tunamatic was the AT-1T, I think. Jack.
