Ship it when payment is made in full.Edited to add....Crap, I just re-read your post, not mine found it on harmony central. Guess I have to stop surfing the internet with Sam Adams.

iownit4 Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I remember seeing this guitar once before . I think the seller was being a prick about the payment method !!
andrew m Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 ,,,And all e mails sent to him keep coming back as un deliverable. I did see this SS1 a while back, but I never heard back from the guy. Not sure if it really available.
sw686blue Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 If anyone is really interested, I can ask a buddy in Toronto to check it out.
andrew m Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 That would be great. Please do if it is not a hassle
sw686blue Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 That would be great. Please do if it is not a hassle If you are seriously considering this guitar I will ask. I just don't want him to go if there isn't a real interest. I am not directing this at you Andrew, just generally speaking.
andrew m Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I am definetly interested. AND I understand about having you have a buddy go out of theie way to help someone only to have it done in vainThanks
Jem Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Somebody buy that, have me fix it up and have Stike spray it a cool color. That is a cool colour gay boy !

AND I understand about having you have a buddy go out of theie way to help someone only to have it done in vainThanks I've e-mailed the seller to see where in Toronto he's located. I'll ask my friend to go and check it out.
andrew m Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Mucho Thanks to you.Somebody buy that, have me fix it up and have Stike spray it a cool color. If this works out, how do cross border duties work if something is sent from Canada to the States to get work done?
Steve Haynie Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I bought a guitar off eBay from a seller deep in Canada. I think I paid $60 for shipping. A couple of weeks later I got a bill from UPS for additional duties. It may have been $35. Everything will depend on the the value of the guitar of course.

If this works out, how do cross border duties work if something is sent from Canada to the States to get work done? Funny you should ask. I had called Canada customs and they told me that the re-finisher would have to supply you with an invoice stating the total cost for the work done on the guitar. You will have to pay provincial and federal sales tax on the work done. That's all.

A couple of weeks later I got a bill from UPS for additional duties. It may have been $35. Everything will depend on the the value of the guitar of course. That sounds about right. It usually costs me $50 CAD to ship guitars plus another $28 CAD in brokerage fees.
andrew m Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I wonder if that would be the same charges for something coming from Canada to the States (repairs and paint) and then Back to Canada.
Jem Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Only gay for you, Limey prick. I see being short and German still gives you a complex then....hmmm, time i gave you some abuse by phone i think.
sw686blue Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I wonder if that would be the same charges for something coming from Canada to the States (repairs and paint) and then Back to Canada. That is for a guitar going from Canada to the USA and back to Canada. At one point I wanted Stike to refinish my Artist Korina and called Customs to understand the procedure. That is what I was told.
andrew m Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Man you 2 guys ( sw686blue and Steve Haynie)are totally helpfull.Thanks.Now lets get back to BCR and Jems abuse!
BCR Greg Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 So I step out for 8 minutes and that lowbreed Jem calls me. He abuses my staff and generally makes for some discomfort.Let me tell you, only I can abuse my staff, VeggieBreath!!!
sw686blue Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Andrew,I still haven't heard back from this guy. I'll e-mail again today. I'll keep you posted. I have a feeling that he's a scammer.
andrew m Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Thanks again,,,,I am begininng to think he is a scammer too. Like I said before, His e mails came back as Undeliverable,,,,,Plus when I first came on the board a while back, I remember seeing what must a been the same guitar, and again he wouldn't return e mails. Thanks for your effort tghough. if I can do anything for you, Let me know.
