jerseydrew Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Hi Boys and Girls, I have one of the Dean BTMN P90Z guitars. I thought I'd offer it here before I go to ebay. $525 shipped and insured to the 48 cont. states. USPS money orders or Paypal ok. Confirmed addresses only. Here's my email address which is also my paypal id: jerseydrew1@yahoo.com Near Mint condition with the original Dean hardshell case. All original with no mods. I would call it mint but I know some of you guys have microscopes and get a little nutty. Just for your information, the guitar is made in Korea (though you would never know it). Gene really came up with a winner. I just can't get used to the neck which is a little to flat for me. I can't comfortably throw my thumb over the top of the neck when I'm cheatin' on a barre chord. My ebay id is: jerseydrew Check the feedback rating I'll get some pics up soon if you need them. Just for shits and giggles, I made a You tube video. I'll be using this feature for all my ebay auctions. It's just a little more proof that the guitar is in my possession. (though the quality of the video sucks) Here's the link Dean P90Z video thanks, Drew
stevemec Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Jerseydrew, The best use of video I can think of! Perfect for showing that the thing is actually in your possesion, and it's perfect for showing the product 'live & in 3D', so to speak. Wish I'd thought of it! Nice axe, by the way.
jerseydrew Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 thanks stevemec. I was thinking one day while scouring ebay and I said to myself, "I wish I had more proof that the seller had the guitar".I'm a big fan of YouTube. So I figured I can do a 2 minute video showing and describing the guitar. Though the quality of my video wasn't so great, any little bit helps make a sale.Maybe more people will make video's???
santellavision Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Drew,Video, what a great idea! Brilliant! I've been burned before on ebay, now I always ask the seller for a specific pic or two (like a c/u of the input jack) This way you can see if they have the actual guitar.Nice guitar too! Good luck.
stevemec Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 jerseydrew, Dude, I believe you've tapped into the future of subsequent postings of 'For Sale, Trade, Pay It Forward' items. I should have done it with my first posting. FYI: I'm the guy who posted the now infamous ( I think) sale of the '78 Sunburst w/ Dan Armstrong headstock. You know, I really only wanted to get a vibe on what the thing might be worth, from HFC'rs. After that, I got caught up in the $$$ value of the thing. I've decided to keep it because I am a player, after all, and the thing really is a sweet instrument. You should probably keep this correspondence to yourself, me being on the HFC shitlist, after all. ( OOPS...I guess this reply puts it out in HFC land, anyway). Hi people! Hoping you'll all start talking to me again. stevemec
Bruiser Brody Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Jerseydrew...you oughta do voice-over work! Ya sound like a DJ! Cool concept for selling your axe too. Nice one.

cordroad Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Yeah, yeah,yeah...how do we know that's your voice and your arm?I keed, I keed!Great idea, man.
black magic Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Jesus that is sweet!! Nice video also, the only thing you may have wanted to add was the neck and body woods and the scale length and # of frets. Jack.
jerseydrew Posted September 13, 2006 Author Posted September 13, 2006 Jerseydrew...you oughta do voice-over work! Ya sound like a DJ! Cool concept for selling your axe too. Nice one. I used to do commercials for my college radio station. I've been told I have a face for radio.I also do Podcast shows (although they're about bathroom humor)Oh well, I never said I was that smart.Back to the video's. This "YouTube video thing" can really open up new avenues between buyers and sellers. Like someone previously said, if you needed a specific shot, you can get it on video. It's kind of tough to show someone a specific shot and NOT have the guitar in hand!
jerseydrew Posted September 14, 2006 Author Posted September 14, 2006 Sold, pending receipt of payment.
BTMN Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Anyone I know buy it? Thanks AGAIN Duane, Greg, and Hamer for the idea!!!!

Hoping you'll all start talking to me again. stevemec Hey Steve, I probably owe you an apology. I was pretty blunt and probably a bit out of place to post some of the comments made about the whole '78 Dan Armstrong sunburst. I usually steer clear of that kinda stuff and pretty much stay neutral. I find there's usually too much flaming and arguing on most forums anyways, my opinion is it's just too damn easy to be an asshole or just be plain rude in a forum situation. Seems like people say and do things that they might not normally do in a face to face situation which is why for the most part i usually just stay neutral and use it to meet cool people and get great infrmation and some nice deals, sometimes great deals. You got hold of a great/rare guitar, whatever you choose to do with it is nobody's business including me. All the power to ya, It's cool that your keeping it and if you decide to sell, get what the f**ck you can for it. Why wouldn't ya....... To show I'm sincere, when i met ya i first offered you $600 for it. I'll now go as high as $605..........
