I would write to fellow HFC'er Tony Babylon as I only know of two them, one a "pretty Famous Hamer endorsee" has (but I doubt he would part with it) and the other this one shown below a more recent one that Tony got directly from the bassist from GoldFinger-Kelly Lemieux. Tony may or may not still have the bass at this time as he handles alot of toys.

I am sure the dealers here would be able to get you one made, ElDuave is definitely on a role for major cool custom guitars out of Hamer these days.

Peter's right on with that (rare for him, ha ha ha! ).

I was looking around last night for pics of the LeMieux B4A from when it was up at the factory being made. Very cool basses. I do think that Tony sold that one last year - at least I have a foggy recollection of him selling it, but I think it went to another HFC'er.

Let me know if you decide to grab one of those!

Nope. That one was done many years before PJ. Tom Petersson had the first B12As.

If anyone's interested, I'm going to be listing some stuff on fleabay in the near future-among the stuff is a Hamer bass case made for Jeff Ament-to house his Duotone 12 bass. It is in nearly new condition (I'd guess he took his in a road case or they shipped two cases). One day I'll get off of my arse and take some pics...

Kip:

It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that we were emailing about my B-4M and all that stuff. Hope you're as happy with yours as I have been with mine - Elduave and Hamer really made it all happen on that one!

Enjoy, and DEFINITELY let me know if you decide to go the B-4A route. Now, I've just gotta find those pics...

Chris: you are probably right, Tony changes basses like most people change socks, but he definitely has a knack for finding some interesting ones. I seem to remember the buyer saying something to me about that one as he also got Kelly's Jeff Ament style B12A from Tony as well.

Good luck in your searches Kip, you never know what might turn up.

I'd like to have the Johnny Colt 12ver too...

OK....my ears are ringing. Only Kelly's B4A came through Tony. The Colt came directly from Johnny and the others from various good fortune. IMO the "A" series basses soud the best for recording but they are just too big and heavy for live use (and I'm 6'1")
