"To answer your question directly, I've got a Sparkle Orange Newport (bound and crowned) that I bought used for $950. So $1850 seems a bit on the high side to me. I removed the SD Seth Lover pups and replaced them with the PhatCats. It was worth the swap. The PhatCats were made for the Newport and you can hear why.noonan
