matchful Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 1981 B&C Sunburst known as the Aceburst. I recently purchased from David E and had a gig with it last night. This is a wonderful guitar, nice chunky neck, beautiful top, and nice weight as well. After playing it last night, I discovered that I am just more just comfortable playing my 82 dot neck Sunburst w/ WCR, and a thinner neck. Although I love looking at it, I must let it go to someone who can really appreciate it. (This thing is screamin for a 50/100 watt amp) **NOTE This has been modded for the third humbucker by BCR Greg and the work is well done. Comes with heavily gigged Hamer case(nice on inside, all latches work). $927.00 gets it, shipped in the US. (I paid $900+27 Paypal fees) You can Paypal, as long as you eat the fees. I would rather not go overseas with this one, but we can talk. For pics go to http://s45.photobucket.com/albums/f61/deidelberg/Aceburst/Aceburst.htm
DavidE Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Man, sorry you didn't like the neck!I'll give ya tree fiddy! ;-)It'll go. That guitar is a ho!
matchful Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 It was a rocker, I just play more power pop style music. She was just too much for my little 65 Deluxe Reverb. I polished up the frets when I got it and restrung it. She is looking sweet and ready for her next go-round.
Guest Meshuggah Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 ... Or the volume? I love it when Dave makes a funny!
matchful Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 That might help I just can't being myself to do it. I am used to single coils where you have to work for every note and get all that signal to the amp!!! The 81 I have has lower to mid output WCR Darkbursts that really is a nice midway point between the tele twang and the midrange Hamer growl. Very cool pickups and a great guy too. They are kind of like a beefier, midrangey (is that a word?) p90. Duane Allman tone all the way, but these aren't one trick ponies. The neck pickup is wound a little brighter so you can still use with out woofing out.
Travis Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 What pickups are in that thing again? Looking for any trades, or just a straight sale?
matchful Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 It has 3 period correct Dimarzios. Sorry, no trades, need the cash to pay for the credit card bill on this one!
matchful Posted February 24, 2007 Author Posted February 24, 2007 I can't believe that no one here is jumping on the ho of them all. The Aceburst!! This is a great guitar, and a hellova deal! I would hate to Ebay this bad boy!
Steve Haynie Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Yes, you do offer a good deal, but some of us are low on funds at the moment.
matchful Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 Understandable. I will keep it up here for a couple of weeks and then off to Ebay!
matchful Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 I have decided to list this guitar on Ebay, but if any here is interested, let me know and I will sell within the HFC and end the auction. I would much rather keep it in the family. By the way, the price is cheaper here!!
BCR Greg Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 JESUS! Somebody buy this guitar! It kills. Great neck, versatile tones, and half the price of an unfettered one!
Citrus Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 how does the pickup switching work??yeah I know, with the toggle switch!
matchful Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Down position - bridge, Middle - Bridge/Neck, Up - Neck. 3rd pickup is activated via the push/pull tone knob. Then you can, use the pickup switch again to get bridge/middle, all 3, or middle/neck. ....You know you want it!!!
matchful Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 Alright, I am lowering the price on an already great price. Help a brotha out . $850 shipped plus Paypal fees.
