atquinn Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 O.k., so I picked this up to do a shootout with my Mahogany Soloist (which is up for auction on eBay ending tomorrow night). I was going to put a Distortion in the neck and a PATB2 (parallel axis trembucker distortion model) in the bridge, but, well things change... This Soloist is in good condition (it doesn't seem to have the headstock dings many of these suffer from, just a couple of dings along the bottom edge of the body and a few light scratches), has a cool finish, and abalone inlays in the neck and for the headstock logo. It does, however, have the following issues: 1. There is no bar for the Floyd bridge 2. A previous owner put an EMG 85 in the bridge with volume and tone controls, and replaced the 3-way pickup selector with an EMG PA-2 booster switch. I assume the Duncan '59 in the neck is in fine working condition, but right now only the bridge pickup be used. This wasn't an issue for me since I was going to yank out everything and put in my own stuff, but I imagine you might care 3. It was sold to me as having no case. It was shipped to me in a hardshell acoustic guitar case (which actually provides better protection for the headstock than the official Jackson case ), so it will be protected well during shipping, but will not look cool at all if you try to take it out in public ! I'm looking for $730 shipped to the contiguous 48 states or $700 for a local (NYC) delivery/pickup. Price haggling is fine, but no trade offers please.
