edgar_allan_poe Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Hey guys I have a Tremoverb head in dead mint condition FS/FT. I am asking $1200 shipped. The amp will come with all of the original Boogie tubes, as well as a brand new set of 5 Tung-Sol 12ax7s, and an extra set of 5 Boogie 12AX7 A Russian tubes, an extra pair of 5u4GBs, and a quad of extra 6L6gc that were pulled out my brand new Road King. Thats over $200 in tubes alone. $1100 shipped if you don't want the tubes. Thats what I paid for it, thats what you will pay for it. Partial trades accepted. Not looking for anything in particular. Price is firm, please don't bother to ask. edgarallanpoe@verizon.net
DavidE Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I thought you loved this amp? What happened?Didn't you read the Roadking thread??

edgar_allan_poe Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 I will get the serial number and date tonight.
Jeff R Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Poe got it from me, who got it from Cajun Boy, who apparently got it from a museum curator it's so clean. At least it was when I sold it to Poe (he prone to frequently don peanut butter and chocolate residue on his mitts).Seriously, versatile and great sounding head.
MCChris Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 So incredibly tempting ... and I'm a U.S. citizen who doesn't give a Christ about years and serial numbers.
edgar_allan_poe Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 So incredibly tempting ... and I'm a U.S. citizen who doesn't give a Christ about years and serial numbers.Actually Chris, there were several versions of this amp and the early ones, which I believe this one is, are more sought after. Not like 4 digit sought after, but more sought after nontheless.Boogie is always tinkering with designs and they often release several versions of the same amps. I think there have already been 4 different versions of the Road King.I can see you in this amp. I know you prefer EL34s, but this thing will never get buried in a live mix like most 6L6 amps. These aren't anywhere near as scooped in the mids as most other Boogies, and the low end is absolutely bone shaking. If it weren't for the versatility of my Road King this wouldn't be going anywhere.
DavidE Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I had an early combo and it was the best sounding Mesa I ever owned. If it didn't weigh over 100 lbs, it might have been used outside of the house. Hell, I find my Bogner Shiva 1x12 too heavy for gig use at 80 lbs. I got a headshell for that and I need to do the transplant. If I didn't want more than 2 footswitchable channels these days, I would have picked up this Tremoverb head.

I was just implying that I would be a comparatively easy sale.6L6s would be a nice addition to my stable that currently consists of 2 EL34 amps and one each of 6L6 and EL84.Yes, I'm stalling in hopes that someone will fork out $1.2K before I do.
Jeff R Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 The T-verb will run on a quartet of EL34s. Look at the back panel photo - that switch between the green and red LEDs under the rectifier tubes is the bias switch that allows either 6L6 or EL34 operation.
edgar_allan_poe Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 The Boogie is a 1998, I will not post the serial number for obvious reasons, but if you really need it PM me and we can talk.
