Contrats Devnor! Absolutely gorgeous guitar- I love Standards!

If this was my guitar I would try pickup rings in creme. Have fun with this beauty!

I once asked Jol why they insisted on using a jack that constantly failed(the old Switchcraft 151). His answer? "I don't know. We've just always used that jack".

The Electrosocket jack is a big improvement, and silences those of us that have wailed and gnashed teeth over the other POS.

Thanks, Jol, for listening.

Yeah, I like the jack that hamer uses (visually) but it does seem to have a high failure rating. The jack in my 80 special, and '02 studio both have problems with the jack. The jack in the special had basically broke off at the solder joint connected to the Tone jack. I fixed it and it hasn't given me any problems again yet. The '02 studio on the other hand is a real bitch. If the cord is pulled in the wrong direction the jack cuts out and I cant find anything wrong w/ the jack so who knows.

Out of the 70+ Hamers I've had, there's never been a jack problem.

Out of the 500+ that I have owned or sold or worked on, there have been MANY jack problems. ONE is too many.

I've never had a problem with any of my Hamer jacks from any era, but have heard of a few people who have here and there over the years. I've only owned 4-5 dozen or so over the years, but have certainly played my fair share of them.

In all honesty, I'm not sure if some of those weren't actually a cable v. a jack issue , but something can always go wrong with anything.

I'm relieved to learn that the Electrosocket jacks will never fail.

Outstanding!... and very similar to the one I dream about.

Now, about making that dream come true...

I do plug them in play them  , but they do get good rotation so maybe that's why no problems yet. I only have 5 right now. I'd like to see a straight on shot of the new jack.

I was just play'n Dave. I have 3 replacement jacks in standby just in case. I do enjoy the new jack mount on my recent custom ordered standard thou.
