elduave Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Decent price too. Wish I could swing it.On The 'Bay
MCChris Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Jeez. That's the perfect Firebird IMO. Didn't even know such an animal existed.
cmatthes Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Haven't seen one of those in a coupla years. Gil Southworth had an Antique Natural one forever - just couldn't sell it. His was an '82, and heavy as hell, but a really nice playing git. That one is pretty interesting.
elduave Posted July 22, 2007 Author Posted July 22, 2007 'duave - any relation to the seller?I saw THAT one comin' down I95!

Lockbody Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 RD Artist with a Firebird neck, huh? Pretty neat. Looks like ebony too, but it could be the lighting. I wonder if it's 25.5" scale like the RD is?

LordOfTheThighs Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Awesome. Great top, one of my fav finishes, binding, hummers. Schweeeeet.
elduave Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 Relisted for auction at about a grand with no reserve, now with 1/2 hour to go, and up to $1875. That's higher than the original BIN. 'Aint people funny like that? I hope it breaks $2k. I figured that's at leaast what my RD CMT was worth.
Guest Buck Dharma Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I have one exactly like it but mine has all the moog stuff removed. It's my favorite guitar by far. The low output Buckers sound killer. They only made 150 of them. When I played it I sold my Goldtop R7 the next day.
elduave Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 Well there you go! Went for $2300. Nice guitar Buck...
