Mikel Thomas Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I have an '81 vector with OHSC that has a lot of road rash, but is all original, was recently set up and plays like butter. Can anyone tell me what these are going for these days? I need to sell off some of my other guitars and equipment to compensate for the recent outpouring of cash. I will be posting some pics of the guitar and equipment for sale next week. The reason for the recent outpouring of cash... I just picked up 2 USA Hamer Californians! A Cali Deluxe and I finally found the Cali I have been searching for the past 5 years! It is absolutely MINT with MINT OHSC. It is a Hamer Californian Elite All original with ebony fingerboard boomerang inlays, flame maple body. Here are some pics of my new babies..... Hamer Cali Elite Hamer Cali Deluxe
atquinn Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 The Cali Elite looks like one of my old ones (it's not though; my old one was a '96). Congrats on the acquisitions! As far as the Vector goes, unfortunately, it won't be worth as much as either one of your Calis, especially if it has the paddle headstock. Got any pics of it?-Austin
Mikel Thomas Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 I will post some today. Oh, I see your selling your Cali. Are you still trying to get the same price you quoted me? That is one beautiful Cali, neck through right? If only I only I wold win the lottery..... The Cali Elite looks like one of my old ones (it's not though; my old one was a '96). BubbaVO Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 That Elite is too sweet. Congrats on the latest additions to your collection.
zorrow Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Congrats! The Elite looks really killer!About the Vector, it depends on the condition and the actual model. I saw one at Craiglist selling for 450 bucks (if I remember well), but I've paid much more than that for some Vectors I really wanted -- I can PM you the prices if you want. BTW, what kind of Vector is yours? Any pictures?

Set neck-I had one just like it (hell, it might even be my old one, I forgot where it ended up after Stonge had it). Hamer only made one neck-thru-the exotic wood Impact Basses.
zorrow Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 So? No pictures yet? The price can't be fairly estimated without pictures!
Mikel Thomas Posted October 6, 2007 Author Posted October 6, 2007 Ok, here is a link to some pics. Hamer Vector I know it is in rough shape, but it has beautiful wood, if someone wanted to restoreit, it would be awesome. That's what I want to do if i don't sell it for a good price. So? zorrow Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 $56 as of this moment - http://cgi.ebay.com/1981-HAMER-USA-VECTOR-...1QQcmdZViewItem Well, $202.50 now and reserve not yet met -- but I'll still be watching it anyways! There is another jawdropping bound one on eBay, too... I know whose, and that one looks really amazing! Shamefully I'm on a close budget at this moment.
