hardheartedbill Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 not bonding w/ the neck, bigger than a Vintage S but not quite enough back to front depth for me , I'm used to huge necks, need what I got in it 500 plus shipping, GregC or Admiral B can atest to this great guitar, wish the neck was bigger
gregc Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 Too bad the neck shape doesn't work for you, Bill. That is a GREAT Daytona, very clean, and ready to gig. Someone here outta snag this one. It's gone from the Admiral to Perry Rice, to me, and then Bill. This one should stay in the HFC family.gregc
hardheartedbill Posted May 16, 2005 Author Posted May 16, 2005 yep, not that it's a small neck at all, I'm used to the biggest current Hamer neck, the boatneck style strat, my TCM mild V and the 68' LP custom historic (known as the biggest neck going LOL!) it's really close but just a little shallow for me
DavidE Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 Post a photo or say what color it is. And, big question for me, is it heavy?
belgian Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 Wooah....another sunburst daytona. Sell it to somebody that will move it in six months, I'll buy it then.. To much gear coming up, and my daughters are starting to ask where we go on holiday this summer. And I can't tell them, I spent some more on guitars and we'll hit the Belgian ardennes once more.
hardheartedbill Posted May 17, 2005 Author Posted May 17, 2005 wow, this went fast! thanks to all for looking!
JJ Paul Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Sheesh! Actually Hamer should sue Fender for that one :D !!!!! I was actually very tempted - I guess I can only thank some problms with my home 'net connection and a stinky day at the office... Good sell, congratulations - and congrats to a very lucky buyer... JJ
Jorge Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I have a Daytona just like that, only in black. Amazing guitar, the one I have had the longest (5 years now, bought from a HFCer). Same weight, same neck description. Will go down under with me.
