harry65 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 what's up fellow hamerheads, i could use some advice here, i have a jb and a 59 taken out of my 93 special fm, i have a jazz in the neck but am looking for a bridge pickup, i have used jb's for 20 years but am kinda falling outa love with them, need more output than a 59 but less than a jb, i would like to try a custom or custom 5 or a screamin demon, open and appreciative to all suggestions, be cool, harry 561-602-0880

Ain't no jive.i just got a daytona with a custom 5 in the bridge and i really like it so far(only 2 or 3 days now), i was wondering how it would sound in a studio type guitar..............

Warm, articulate, smooth, open. I think JBs are great for cutting through the mix on solos but not much else. They need to be surrounded by a lot of wood to tame their harshness.
