santellavision Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Lord,That's the best link I've seen all year! I've been buying entire sets forever. Thanks!!!!
Hackubus Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 And Schaller buttons too! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
peedenmark7 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 what style ?the early cylinder type? the ones like hamer? or the newer dunlop ones that lok like s stew mac button ?I have some like hamer uses only shorter.. nickel only..otherwise only complete sets with strap portion..I usually yank these off as I dont trust them...I use the scahllers...
kenjones Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I use the Dunlop Dual-Design nickel straploks. Every time I would sell a guitar my straplok buttons would go with the guitar. I then would have to go out and buy a complete set of straploks if I bought another guitar. I ended up calling Dunlop on the phone and purchasing a card of 24 Dual-Design nickel straploks direct. I had to pay full list price but it sure beats having to buy a complete set each time! The Dunlop model number for the button card is "Dunlop SLS1911N".
Scottcrud Posted January 19, 2008 Author Posted January 19, 2008 Thanks for the tip Ken. Mark, they're the dual design...I didn't know they made different ones, I just buy the ones that say Dunlop Straplok on the box. I've used these for 15 years and never had one guitar drop or fall so they work for me.
peedenmark7 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 kenare those the ones that look like a plain old stew make strap button and have the top modified so it can accept the dunlop spring release ball bearing ?
