Zoner Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I'm a poor bastard or it would be mine. Maybe someone else is seeking one of these? Use the enlarge pic option to see the condition and headstock.http://www.musicgoround.com/gear/inventory...s.asp?id=616536
bubbagomez Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I used to go to that musicgoround all the time.
DEMENTED Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 That's a great deal on a nice looking guitar...my guess is the thin neck type though..., stadium logo!
Nuclear Wessel Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 The Sunburst at the Greenfield MGR! I stopped in there a couple of weeks ago and saw this one in person. It does have the thin neck. The pic shows the peeling on the tailpiece and the rust on the screws of the bridge pickup. I can't see them in the pic, but this Sunburst has a number of small dinks on the lower bout, in the area below the tailpiece and near the pickup selector. I think you can see a few of them in the far right part of the pic near the controls. None are through the wood, but they're not tiny little impressions either. I'm guessing the guitar was well loved because it has been played a lot, bumped into stuff, sweated on but not abused. It shows signs of having done a lot of gigs and made a lot of music. I think I recall seeing some fretwear to indicate that too. The sunburst finish is gorgeous in person. Vivid colors, gorgeous flame. And a fair amount of player wear. The area near the top right corner of the bridsge humbucker mounting ring, near a light reflection, where it looks like there is a clear spot in the finish is just that. for some reason there's a spot on the guitar where the finish is natural. Just so anyone interested in it knows, this isn't a mint condition guitar. Still very cool though. I didn't plug it in, just looked it over.
cmatthes Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 That's a great price for a lot of guitar - in any condition. I wouldn't part with my '91 for 3 times that price!
