Re to silentman,

looking for a Studio, gotta have the "belly relief" on the back.

So you want a 95/96 wraptail, then.

I've had 95/96's in my sweaty little hands before. My guess is that I'm probably going to be looking for a '88-'93 Studio? That's just a wild, uninformed guess. I understand that the earlier years have very thin necks. Skinny necks are better suited for my druid-like features. I like the "pencil neck" on my VintageS and the thin necks on the Rickenbackers. They are a wee touch more comfy for me than the 95/96 neck carve.

There is probably someone out there like cmatthes or serial or BCRGreg (the true sources of all that is Hamer) who can chime in and tell us which years the Studio had really thin necks, wraparound bridges, carved tops and belly cuts.

cheers

I don't think the three were ever together. 92-94 thin necks. 93 will closely resemble your Vintage S. 95-98 for wrap with belly cuts. Bigger necks, like my 25th Anniversary. But I'm no expert.

What Ken said. I don't think you're going to find anything with the combination of all three (or four).

What you want is this, the one on the left. A '93 wraptail Special. No tummy cut but...

don't give up hope Caddie...I've seen a 94' serial number studio with factory wraptail bridge (not the usual 95' 96') on ebay a year or two ago, so they are out there (assuming 94's have a more slender neck profile than 95' and/or 96'...which you can't assume as my 94' Mirage I has a chunky medium neck profile and a certain 95' Special FM we know has a thinner medium profile).

That's a tall order. The thin necks have to go to the Sunburst Reissue. (91-93) but no tummy cut. The one that I have is bar none the best quality that I seen on any hamer and the sound is fantastic. Here's a pic...
