How the heck did that one slip by me - you stole that thing.

I got home too late to bid - glad it's in the HFC, though.

Lucky jerk guy!

I know, I couldn't help myself. Of course, knowing me, you'll see it forsale here soon! :)

Chambered Studio Custom, 10 vics, ebony fretboard, black flame top, $975 shipped. The pictures aren't great, so maybe that's why it went for what I consider to be a pretty low price. Still, I'm assuming (hoping) that the actual top will be up to typical Hamer quality. We'll see.

If you don't like it, hit me up. Did you get my emails about your blue one?

I got the latest email you sent me, but I didn't get any other ones you sent. I assume my spam folder ate them. If you respond to my reply, it should get through o.k.

I did respond to your reply and resent the email from yesterday.

The certificate shows it's chambered, but it's hard to read the text. When the auction first started and asked the seller if the guitar had an ebony fretboard, saying I thought I saw it on the certificate, but couldn't quite tell. He confirmed the fretboard and said it was also chambered. Not sure how much it weighs, but I'm not too concerned. I just hope it balances well. I didn't have any issue with the Vanguard I had, so I figure this should be o.k.

My SC has all the same specs and it WILL neck dive. Replace the tuner buttons with plastic ones and use a leather rough backed strap and you'll be good to go.

I always use rough-backed leather straps, and if I replace the tuner buttons, I'll get ebony ones, so I should be fine.

Heh Quinn, great guitar! Waga waga.

Give you 975 for that old blue studio you've been flogging lately, :(

I have two chambered Studios and luckily, neither neck dive. It just depends upon the density of the body and neck woods.

+1 on the rough backed strap. The lighter weight does make it more, um, shifty, no matter the balance.
