Hamer Bass Head Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 On the ebaY.you young man, have got to get out more!!around these parts, they're like cockroaches in my old bronx apartment's kitchen when you turn the light on. Every store within about 50 miles has had used ones for 200-250$ with dings and/or corroded hardware. I was toying with putting a warmoth 8-string neck on one but....NAH!!!
kizanski Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 On the ebaY.you young man, have got to get out more!!This is true, but I also don't play bass (and for that many are greatful).
LordOfTheThighs Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I remember the IC-500 & IC-300 basses, from the '90s. The IC-500 bass had a set neck and nice pearliod binding. It was the bass sister to the IC-500 Iceman that Murcat bought from me. It was also slightly smaller than the bolt-on neck IC-300 bass. The IC-300 was the sister to the lower priced IC-300 Iceman bolt-on guitar. I seen the bass KIZ posted, was released in 2004. It's intended to have a '70s look and vibe to it, which I think it accomplishes nicely.
BubbaVO Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I like those as a bass even more than I like them as a guitar.
Jeff R Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Everytime I see an Iceman in black, I have to start humming that guitar lick intro to "I Stole Your Love"The woodgrained ones make me really want to smoke weed for some reason.
elduave Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I've considered one on more than one ocassion. Anyone know the lineage/history/model list of Iceman basses? Pete Way currently uses a Pink one!
