holLoWskull Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Just saw this on ebay. Looked at it and said, it could be mine. Looked at the price, looked at my guitar budget, and came to my senses (thus the post here). For those of you who missed the Celestial Cali on Craigslist last week and feel like laying out a lot of coin for a guitar (that I'm thinking is in near mint shape and not NOS, but who knows?)....have at it folks.http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-OLD-STOCK-1990-USA...1QQcmdZViewItem
atquinn Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Seems like the price is high, but considering that it's dead mint, I could almost see it going for that much.-Austin
kurtsstuff Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 When I click on the pics of the guitar to see it better...Takes me to the finished auction of that Goldish spackled Cali??

jerseydrew Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Something's not kosher about this. When I click on the pictures to supersize it, it takes me to a different auction of a gold sparkle Californian of a different seller!!! In addition, the description of the guitar is fairly similar on both auctions. Especially in font and size. I smell something fishy.I would definitely ask the seller for more pictures if I wanted this guitar. Specific pictures too.

veatch Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 The picture redirect is likely an eBay bug. I've seen that happen before when the "post a similar item for sale" is used. But i would definitely get all info up front on a piece like that... Note: i do not know the seller and can not vouch for him/her personally...
jerseydrew Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 when i try to enlarge it doesn't do anything. is the gold sparkle on ebay? Try enlarging the second picture. It might take a few seconds, but it'll come up. The size of the text and the font is similar to the auction of the gold sparkle Cali from Japan. Very weird BTW, the gold sparkle Cali auction is old and ended.
Devnor Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 $2700 for mahogany, bolt on Cali with that fugly finish? Man people are getting wierd about Hamer shredders.

Feynman Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I guess my prediction of it getting no bids at that price was a little off.
