Second Time Bomb gig-

Friday was our second show for Time Bomb- this time we did the opening set. Crowd was a lot lighter than last time, because of a great band playing down the road one mile at another club. After our set we headed down there too. I saw a lot of people that could and should have been at our set and wasn't too thrilled! It's so hard to create any loyalty with fans! Band performance was good, but not like the last time. I had some glitches and gremlins, and my freshly recharged wireless batteries crapped out in the middle of a song, obviously defective and not holding a charge. The sound guys may have lowered bass and or drums at one point, because there was one or two songs I could not hear them and as a result got way off timing in my solo. I thought it was a total train wreck, but everybody told me after that we sounded great. My old singer from Hotwired was there and said on that particular song he heard a few missed notes but all in all it was great. My boss and her husband were there and gave us a thumbs up review. I guess we must have done something right, because we got $100 for one set last time and this time we got $150. The club also told us they thought we were even better this time, but I know that is NOT the case! Still, it was a blast!

My Flying V has become my primary weapon:

And Jager-Bombers are my poison of choice. Instant Stage Courage!

This venue is awesome, between stage, lights, smoke and competent sound and light guys-

And there's our lovable mascot, "TommyBoy"! Chicks can't resist TommyBoy!

Cool! I was scrolling through to find your last post to see if you had pix up and voila-you took care of that!

Playing a good club with good sound and lights definitely makes you feel more "rockstar" and pumps up the performance a few notches!

You had fun, right? Then it was a success!

My observation is that nobody notices mistakes other than the performers. Our motto is Power Through the Mistakes. Invariably someone messes something up, but we keep chugging along. Our lead male singer and rhythym guitarist is really very good, but he gets into the music and then misses a measure or adds a few extra chords. Being a church based youth band, our ensemble changes regularly and we have guest players with us. Every time we play a song, it is different! We just act like we intended to play it that way.

So have fun and power through the irregularities.

Very cool, but you need sunglasses on stage....

I'll bet that mesa/genz-benz rig = killz

:):):) It definitely does! But to really get what I wanted out of it I had to replace the original preamp tubes and switch to EL34 power tubes. Since that I've been happy with my tone and sustain every gig. Just my fingers piss me off sometimes!

I can barely see my frets now wearing glasses! Now way can I wear shades!

I never wore shades anyway. My house is chock full of 100 watt lighting!
