WTT your 8 string for my 12? SOLD!!!

Yep, I've just started out with a new band. I play my B8s on about 80% of the material while the 12er just ain't fittin' in. So...I need another 8 as a backup. Anybody wanna trade for my Black '96 B12s?

It's in fairly clean "player" condition. A few dings and light scratches here and there as it has been gigged.

Oh, and most of you have probably already guessed that it has a "pizza day" finish based on the year and color. It isn't terribly noticeable, and mostly on the back anyway.

It is easily the best playing 12er I've ever picked up. Nice, straight and fast neck with LOW action with very little buzz. Ok, I don't like EMG's. I took them out, sold them and replaced them with Dimarzio X2Ns. If anyone interested in trading would like to keep their pups 'n' electrical innards, we could just swap basses sans electronics.

I know this sounds not only like a long shot but a bunch of bullshit, but I have to say, I don't want to go through the trouble of listing this thing on eBay, waiting for the $, THEN trying to find a B8s for sale.

I trust you guys and you know what I'm looking for, so thanks for looking!

Now then, I am willing to trade for an 8 string Hamer shorty in ANY condition or color so long as there are no breaks/cracks or neck issues and NO battery box on the back. I dont care if it's refined, beat to hell, whatever so long as it plays and sounds good (and looks cool). I prefer a single truss rod model if possible.

My bass will ship with OHC if yours does.

hey just so you guys know maxschrek is being VERY modest regarding his bass, its very clean and plays great.

Ive played this bass and it is extremely nice, low action...

Ive owned 4-5 Hamer 8s and 12s and this was one of the better players.

I cant speak for him but I think he is open to any interesting trades, he's like me bored and ready for a new toy.

Yeah, the guy I bought it from said it was celebrity owned. Some guy named Kelly something or other in a Ska/Punk band I don't remember the name of...oh well.

tc2 is correct, I will entertain interesting bass trades (or Hiwatt) but I'm really jonesin' for a Hamer 8.
