killcrop Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Looking to pickup a Korina Vector. Let me know if you have one.Dave
ET_KenW Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Not mine, and I have no affiliation with the seller.Korina V auction
guitfiddler Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 I have one. As I really don't need 3 flying V's and I'm scared to gig with this one (because it's the most expensive, and is in perfect cond.,) so I've decided it can have a new home if someone wants it. It's a 2002, in dead-mint unplayed cond., w/OHSC. Korina Vectors run $2,500. new today, I'll ship this one (within the USA) for $1,975. (no trades, thanks. Need to thin the herd in general also.) No disappointments with this Vector, it's absolutely as new. Contact croeder@delbarproducts.com, or call 215-453-2248 after 7/11. Thanks, C R. (I'm going away on vaca. today, returning 7/12.)HFC References: SirDaniel, Badgerdave, BCRGreg.
DaveH Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 A good friend of mine has a korina Vector he's decided to sell. It's #13 of the original run of 72, it's in mint condition (even has the original strings on it....it's stayed in the case and never been gigged, only played a few times). I believe he said it's a 1997 (whichever year it was that they issued that run). He's asking $2500 since it's in such pristine condition. If interested, you can email me via the board, and I'll hook you up with his phone number. His name is Rich, some of you may know him from HFC2 open house. He also has an '84 or '85 Hamer Firebird with case, Floyd equipped, and Boomerangs that he's selling. He got it as a re-fin, hence no s/n left (which is a bummer, but it's legit). The refin is a crappy one, and would need to be re-done over again, but the axe is in good condition and solid. I think he's asking $750 for that one.Again, email me through the board if you're interested and I'll hook you up with his phone number so you can talk. I'll vouch for his integrity and accuracy 100%.
killcrop Posted July 4, 2005 Author Posted July 4, 2005 Looking for one of the newer ones. Somewhere in the price range of $1500-$1700 Not going to be a collector piece. I'm going to gig the hell out of it.
serial Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 I plan on gigging the hell out of the one I got from JeffR. They rock.
guitfiddler Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 ("Not going to be a collector piece. I'm going to gig the hell out of it. ")OK ... then buy one of my "twin" '98 Epi Korina V's for $525. incl. mint Gibson case. Don't laugh until you tried it. These were made by Samick, in Korea, the last year Samick had the contract. The last year before the color morphed from a warm, vintage natural Korina, into a French's Mustard yellow. They look great, and with the frets leveled & crowned, they play great. With upgraded electronics, you too can be Albert King, or Wishbone Ash, or "The Great Fatsby," or Steve Stills, or even.... yourself! This one has Duncan '59 & JB pickups, CTS pots, Switchcraft switch and output jack. It's hanging on the wall at BCR Music & Sound, on Consignment. Contact BCR for more info. It's identical twin (w/Dimarzio pickups, though) is not for sale.
killcrop Posted August 17, 2005 Author Posted August 17, 2005 Still looking for a Korina Vector. I can get a new one for $2200 but I'd like to save a few bucks and get a used one.
BCR Greg Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 If you know of a new one for that price, get it.
Brownsound Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Its interesting that the Korina Vector and the Studio Custom have the same list in the buyers guide yet the Vector goes for a lot more used...and I suspect more new too.
