bulletbob Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Sold 2 of these already, and the new owners love them... This one was returned, because it had some very minor scratches... They were disclosed by me before the transaction,, but evidently not well enough. This is a new guitar with the plastic still on the guard.. It was an in store demo and has some scratches and minor abrasions... It is unplayed except by whoever played it in Guitar Center during its time there as a wall hanger ..They were only made in 2008 I think, and I bought 3 of them in January 09, so it could not have been there all that long..understood guys?.. It is not factory mint.It HAS some minor finish issues from kids... It can't be resold as brand new, because has been sold, and it has some scratches, and once it leaves here, I don't want to see it back again just because it has scratches that you have to look to find..It is a faded brown Explorer,, It plays beautifully as a USA built Gibson should... Sounds HOT too.. Light body that is super resonant and "alive"It's neck is straight as a dart, super soft low action and not a fret out or buzz or dead note to be found.. It rings when played acoustically!!These were about $1,000 before being discontinued... If you need pics,It is identical to this one in the ebay link..check his price and then check mine... Shipping about $25 east of the Mississippi, about $35 west, or pick it up here..[fat chance].. No case, you'll need a gig bag, or get an Epiphone Explorer case which is half the price of the Gibson case.. anyway, its here if you can use it... May consider partial trade for another guitar or small old tube practice amp... bob..http://cgi.ebay.com/Gibson-Faded-Explorer_...ategoryZ33040QQbullet_bob@lycos.com

mirrorimij Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 The guitar pictured above is from the eBay link right? I thought that was NOT the guitar that is for sale in this thread (same model though).

Nuclear Wessel Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I saw one of these at the local GC here. Unbelieveable price for a USA Gibson. And not a bad guitar especially for the price. I picked it up and looked it over. Really nice!!! The workmanship looked great, and that's saying something even for a $4,000 Gibson. Very worth checking out if you're after a USA guitar, don't mind the satin finish, and don't have $2,000+ to spend.
