belgian Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 I was wondering how you guys spend your holidays ?I stay in the area, I am going with my youngest daughter (16) to Paris (only 200 miles from here). We'll visit a lot of museums, montmartre, fleamarkets, pére lachaise and then we'll go to Brittany with my Van (we try to camp in it) for some celtic culture and music. I'll take my Duotone and my microcube with me, and try to pickup some Celtic rock. Some Hamer content in your holidays ?

We talked about taking you up on your offer to show us some of Belgium, but we were unable to come to a decision, especially since we'll be with my uncle most of the time in Paris. If you're there next week, please let me know. I'm sure my 6ft tall 14 year old would be interested in meeting your daughter..... ;-) We're at the Citadine by the Eiffel Tower. I'll have email access as well.David DavidEidelberg@gmail.com
belgian Posted July 6, 2005 Author Posted July 6, 2005 I am going to Paris half august. If you want a tour of Northern France or Belgium (Somme area, Lille or Bruges), you could train to Amiens or Lille, and I could pick you up there. I am free on next Wednesday and Thursday. I have room for an extra three in my Van, just mail me before Thuesday.
mario Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Wow, Paris sounds pretty good! I just came back from vacationing in North Ontario(I'm Canadian). The area we were in is called the Muskokas. Beautiful quiet area with lots of trees, lakes, deer and bears. Have a great vacation!
Guest galejt Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Uh...somebody clue me in as to what a vacation is again?
belgian Posted July 6, 2005 Author Posted July 6, 2005 Uh...somebody clue me in as to what a vacation is again? Spending the money and time, you otherwise would spend on gear.
Jeroen Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Have to work for another 2 weeks and then we're off to Switzerland for 10 days or so. My parents offered us today to take care of our 7 month old son, so we can do more fun stuff with our almost 5 year old daughter. Haven't decided yet what to do, but It's a great offer!Jeroen

Sun, surf and cold beer on the sand. Can't wait - I'm more than ready for it!
