bubs_42 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I may have to check out what you offer but I just bought a new amp without Reverb. Whatcha Got?Really like the Electro Harmonix Holy Grail Plus Pedals. FYI
Gino Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 If you'd like to go REALLY analog, watch out for old used spring reverb units. In the ol' days, when digital reverbs were way too expensive for small home and project studios, there were a bunch of fine hi-q spring reverb units by brands like Furman, Tapco, Biamp and Orban (that one was pretty expensive.). The best bang for the buck in these days was a unit by Fostex, I think the 3070 model, very nice and affordable back then.If you have an adjustable, parallel fx-loop on your amp, neither unit should be a problem levelwise.

I'll keep my eyes pealed for somthing like that in the future. I belive Dr.Z has just released a Stand along unit as well.
e-isle rock Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 For reverb pedals the Lee Jackson Mr. springgy reverb wins hands down.It sounds sweet! Little spendy new, but I've seen used go for $150. Stilla little spendy but worth it IMO.For a stand alone rack spring reverb, the Peavey Valverb is very good. Can be had very cheap, tube driven and has a tremolo. Too bad Peaveystopped production on these. They pop up on Ebay quite abit.
DavidE Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 The Demeter spring reverb pedal got an editor's pick award in this month's Guitar Player. $450 though.
DavidE Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 lets keep these to $125 or less. What, are ya scared? LOL.... Lots of pricey choices out there. I keep reading good things about the Digitech Hardwire Reverb. I have a Digiverb and it's ok, not great. But ok can be good enough. $50 used or so.
Bloozguy Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Check out the Tech 21 Boost RVB. I use one with my non-reverb amp. It's digital, but really sounds like an analog spring reverb. Picked it up scratch 'n' dent from Music 123 for $105. Shredmeister has been using mine and he liked it so much he ordered one. Ray
