trinitysun Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Traded to Jack I am the original owner of this custom ordered Hamer. The color is "Vintage Natural" and just looks gorgeous. It is in very good shape. There are some minor pick scratches and very small impressions on the back, but not even enough to show up in the pictures. The thing still smells new. I have the original case. The neck is a good size and has a nice full curve. Plays extremely smooth and fast. Frets have little wear. Schaller tuners. Double cream pickups look great with the finish. The pickups are both WCR: Crossroads in the neck, Iron Man in the bridge. The Crossroads gets really creamy and smooth. The Iron Man brings out the tone of the guitar with a little higher output. Both pickups clean up well with the volume control. I had these professionally installed at Specimen along with push/pull pots which allow you to individually split either humbucker. This makes it your "desert island" guitar. Lots of versatility. The pickups + parts + installation cost me about $600. Located in Chicago, will deliver nearby for free. Shipping/paypal fees negotiable. Please email me with any questions. More pics here: http://s171.photobucket.com/albums/u316/jd...Hamer%20Custom/
atquinn Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 ...What was custom ordered on it???I was interpreting that to mean that he placed an order for it as opposed to seeing it in a store and buying it, not that there was some special order feature like titanium frets or Shlabotnik pickups installed at the factory.-Austin
trinitysun Posted June 3, 2009 Author Posted June 3, 2009 What was custom ordered on it???The 1st fret inlay and full neck binding were special order. I think the full neck binding comes on all Custom's now.
atquinn Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 From the pictures, the logo is inlaid and that sure looks like a rosewood board to me. I'd love to try out an ironman pickup someday, but another Studio Custom is the last thing I need -Austin
trinitysun Posted June 3, 2009 Author Posted June 3, 2009 Yes the logo is inlaid. I thought that came standard, guess not. The fretboard is rosewood.

trinitysun Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 Dig your bands sound BTW...cool tunes!!!Its nice to see another "younger" person around these parts.........Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. Thanks to everyone for the comments. It is a beautiful guitar and the neck carve is perfect. I don't want to get rid of it, but I need to pay for a new gigging guitar. This one is my stay-at-home and look pretty guitar.
trinitysun Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Now on ebayhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=130311976507
trinitysun Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 bump. If anyone is seriously interested, I can take it off of ebay.
trinitysun Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 accepting offers. I guess the economy is killing the guitar market, thought this would be gone quick.
Siaip Ciuvas Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I'd say if you got original pups, sell WCRs separately, put originals back and bump price lower. Maybe that can help?
trinitysun Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 Well for one, I don't have the originals. The 59/JB combo is pretty easy to find, but then it's a complete waste of push/pull knobs
