jads57 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Hi, Although I'm new to this board, I've had many succesful dealings on TGP as well as Ebay under jads57 as well. Due to my current financicial situation I'm reluctantly selling both my Hamer Talladega as well as the Double D. p/ups seperately. The p/ups are $325.00 shipped & Paypaled Cont. USA only please! No trades athis time and thanks for looking!
zorrow Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I'm very into humbucker-sized single coils. However, firstly, I live in Montreal; secondly, the asking price is quite high and thirdly, you're too new here... Anyway, I might be interested on those pups, but only if I get references about you from someone on this board --as the shipping to Canada can be worked out by me providing an address in the US, right? BTW, in spite of my interest on those pups, I think taking them out from the Tally classifies under "butchery" in my books, but anyway...
atquinn Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 The asking price isn't actually all that high IMO. If you went to the Seymour Duncan custom shop and asked them to make to replicas, they would be $160 a pop (plus shipping), plus I don't think they could actually produce an exact replica of the DD's for contractual reasons. As far as references, he gave you his eBay username, what more do you need?Just my 2 cents.-Austin
zorrow Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Ok, so only "the Canadian syndrome" is left. --I'll check his eBay feedback right away. Just contacted him via eBay. Let's see...

You can't buy them at this time 2.) I'm losing resale value on my Hamer Talladega 3.) I've been offered $200 for the bridge /pu alone! Please feel free to check my feedback at Ebay or w/ any The Gear Page memebers that I've sold guitars,amps,p/ups, necks, pedals, etc. to. I'm using Paypal so the buyer is protected. my Paypal info is johndellaselva@msn.com which is also my email. Please contact me if you need any further info. I'm glad to sell to Canada provided you pay the import charges or declared value and extra shipping charges. Cheers, John D.

He should ask for $350. !
jads57 Posted June 26, 2009 Author Posted June 26, 2009 Actually, I'm not one for gouging people It's bad karma! But for the reasons posted above I beleive this to be a fair asking price for these p/ups. Just to put it into perspective , at my local Guitar Syore Willies American Guitars here in St. Paul, Mn. They are asking $450.00 for one, that's right 1 PRS 57 limited p/up!
zorrow Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Well, I just payed for them... and just realized this is my first GAS-induced purchase in a long while!
hamerican gigolo Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 I thought there was no critisizing peoples' asking prices on this forum? It's certainly bad form. You don't like his price? Buy another. Wait, you can't get another because they're not for sale? Right, the price just went up fellas!!! You don't like his price? Make an offer privately He can always put them on Ebay and let the market decide what they're worth. The first set of PRS 57/08 pickups to be sold went for something like $700 on Ebay. Very excellent call,Dave. I'm so sick of bottom feeders.
cmatthes Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Congrats on the sale, and welcome to the HFC. As a reminder to everybody else, as David E. pointed out, dumping on other people's FS threads is strictly verboten. It's not cool - you certainly wouldn't appreciate it if you were trying to buy or sell something. Simply put, your posts are deleted without appeal when you do that. See Brian's post at the top of this page if there are any questions. You don't have to like what the poster is selling or what their asking price is for something, but keep your criticism to PMs/emails.The only exceptions we'll tolerate would be if there is a confirmed scammer here or elsewhere, or if there is a publicly known issue with something a seller is trying to unload here.Any questions, feel free to contact the mods.
