i don't have a copy of the song right now but is the harmonized lead after the choruses based on 5ths?

If I remember correctly..it's 3rd's....not positive though...been too many years so..I guess I'm no help...hehe :)

Allright!!...so..I was correct....Damn..I thought all of the self induced coma's from the 80's and early 90's were taking it's toll....hehe :)

i haven't done a lot of harmonized leads but is that common? i mean, since the 3rd is used to make a M or a m chord the 5th would be an easier choice, yes? no?

they are harmonizing a moving line; so if the harmony stays diatonic (in key), some 3rds will be maj, some min.

ex: key of C ;

maj 3rds: C to E, F to A, G to B;

min 3rds: D to F, E to G, A to C, B to D.

most of lizzy's harmonies are diatonic 3rds.

...so, Brooks, HHB, to harmonize, you just play every other note on top of the one primarily played, and that´s it (following the same diatonic scale the original solo is, of course)?
