RobB Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Since it's highly unlikey that any of the LowCal HFCers would be willing to commit to a trip up to SF for a jam (families, work etc...), I'd like to get a feel from my NoCal bretheren if there's any interest in getting something together. Of course, anyone from anywhere is invited, the more the merrier. I live in a big loft, tons of space and we have a KILLAH rooftop garden w/views to grill and swill. My "Rock-aoke" band has a great space at Soundwave in Oakland (two minutes off the BayBridge/West Grand exit) w/full PA, 3 Marshalls (JCM 900 and two modded 2-channel/reverb JCM 800 amps/cabs, 2 TraceElliot bass rigs and drums [i'd have to ask drummer Bob if it's OK to use his kit, but I can't imagine there'd be a problem...]).The logistics are perfect, I have plenty of crash space and it's San Fran-freakin'-cisco, fuhchrissakes!Please post any interest here or email me: [email protected]. What date do you plan to do this on? What do you plan on barbecqueing? I can kick in some cash for the food & drinks or I can bring some food as a potluck. I have a smoker at my place and can cook some smoked chicken the night before. Sound like fun and it's close to home for me. Guitar George

Abaco Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 My band rehearses at Soundwave. I'd certainly be interested in joining your jam and might get my bandmates to join the fun (bass and drums) if needed. If get advance enough notice it should be a go, and if my band isn't gigging at the same time...

I got a hybrid - any LowCal Locals wanna carpool? Caveat: You'll have to listen to the Carter Family and Loretta Lynn all the way up, though.
