How much does it weigh? I had a Tally that was a wonderful guitar. But it felt like I was lugging a log around when I stood up to play it.

Are those mug shots of Lenny Bruce? Anyway, the guitar weighs in at about 8lbs, given a couple of ounces or so. Not as light as say a lightweight Fender, but it is chambered and won't hurt you like a Gibson Les Paul.

Hope that helps!

Do you still have the Double D pickups?

Good question.

Yup. Its Lenny. And 8 lb isn't bad at all.

If you're in the market for one these guitars , I can guarantee you won't find a better sounding one! For some reason this Talladega is noticicably louder and fuller sounding acoustically than any of the 10 or so I ever tried. It might be because the neck is also slightly larger than most others as well!

I'd rather sell it to here or on the Gearpage, but thanks for the suggestion. I'm not that desperate to sell it for less than adaverstised.

Hi John, haven't seen you in a while! My girlfriend lives about 2 miles from Pete's shop in Savage so I'll be the area more often.

Guys, this is a great Talladega, I've played it a few times. It definitely has the biggest V neck of any of the Talladegas I've played. If I had 2k right now it would be sitting in my house.

Thanks Lex, how's the Ceriatone head working out for you? I ended up trading mine off w/ a fellow TGP member for a Gadow Custom Hollow.

Without the Double Ds it seems to be difficult. One could easily swap pickups to Phat Cats or other P90s to turn it back to tele style.

It's shame to see this Tally waiting.

I really want one. But it needs to have the original Double D's.

John, haven't played the Overtone for a while, but I still like the amp. I should probably drag it out and fire it up.

I really like it with my old ES345. B)

Even though it doesn't have the Double D's, it actually sounds better and more versatile w/ the Sheptones. The Sheptones are also have 4 way conductor wire, so you can install a 5 way switch if you wanted. But I haven't found it neccesarry at all. Also remember it doesn't buzz,no 60 cycle hum!

Man, if I really needed more guitars, I would certainly snap your Tally right away.

I mean, I love the tones I get from the Double D's I put on my Vector, but I can confirm they are noisy as hell. Also, I bet not many people will like them. They give a very... sheer tone. So, no wonder why Jol used humbuckings instead of Double D's in the Talladega Pro... B)

Thanks for the input Zorrow. I actually feel the guitar is way more usable in a variety of situations vs. the original Double D p/ups. Otherwise I'd of never sold them. I actually wasn't planning on selling this guitar at all. But times are hard, so for sale it goes!
