whiskeyzulu Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 the way the paint fills in the serial number looks like a re-spray to me
cmatthes Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 the way the paint fills in the serial number looks like a re-spray to meIt's possible that it could be a refin, but I'm thinking it's original despite that. The "Ferrari Red" is typically pretty thick on Hamers, as it is a hot red shot over a white base coat. I've had/have other opaque finished Hamers with the stamped serials that look like that.I had a Frost Blue Gibson FBVII that you almost had to hold at an angle to read the serial for the same reason.
burningyen Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Something must be wrong with me, Eclipses are starting to look cool.

Brownsound Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 That paint looks like the guitar was dipped in it. Thick looking
bruce919 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 It is stock. I had one in Ferrari Red back in the late 90's I new another Guy here on the board that had one in the same color. I bought it NOS from Victor Litz for $600.
madhatter Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I have that same guitar but with a tune-o-matic.
