I think that Eclipse was at the factory in '98 or '99 along with his bright yellow Vector. Not sure.

Not my thing, but a unique guitar.

He has it listed as a "one-off" but I had an identical, same year 3 PUP one. I think I've seen one other. Maybe they did a run of three or something at the same time, unless his has some other spec that he didn't mention?

I also don't think that was a one-off. If I recall, I've got a pic of 3-4 of those hanging outside of the finish room in the factory. At least two were TV and I forget what the other one was (Orange? Cherry?).

Still a pretty cool guitar - kinda Firebird VII-ish thing.

Just the list of stipulations on the auction makes me wonder who on earth would bid on this, at any price.

+1! This 'condition' got my interest:

7) requiring the bidder to acknowledge that the bidder shall not use, or authorize the use of, the item(s) in or in connection with any public display, concert or other public performance or in any audiovisual or visual work which is exhibited or offered for sale to the public.

In other words, feel free to play it in your bedroom and store it under your bed. Otherwise the Auction Police might come after you.

I had one of these a few years back but got rid of it, I originally bought it on eBay--three SD FB pickups, TOM bridge, in TV Yellow--all factory original. One of the two controls (I forget which) actually controlled the middle pickup volume, so you could 'blend' it in with the other pickups, or turn it down all the way out of the mix--the toggle switch functioned just like it does on two-pickup Eclipses, didn't affect the middle pickup at all. I didn't care much for it, I wasn't impressed with having the middle pickup (didn't seem to make much sonic difference at all), and surprisingly I didn't hear much difference between the TOM setup and stoptail versions. I should have a photo of it somewhere, I will try to find it if I can get motivated.
