crunchee Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 No affiliation. Looks to be a '94 from the S/N. No mention that I see whether the pickup routings are original or if the body was routed for HBs by a previous owner. HAMERMAN Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Wow - looks like somebody chewed the old frets out to put the new ones in.The best hope I can see for this one is if somebody out there wants to throw a maple fretboard on it or something else dramatic. Gotta hate when bad things happen to good guitars.
Turdus Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I remember the first time I ever heard an electric guitar; Friend's basement.... old double cut LP Special (learned that later), through a tweed amp that I think was a Gibson. His father, a non player, had traded something for it.I inquired about the guitar many years later, then got to see it. It had been left in the basement, neck stepped on, broken off, glued back on, then the entire guitar brush painted black.Seeing this auction just brought back that memory.
Kurt L Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 "All sales final."Gee, I don't know why they wouldn't want it back????
tbonesullivan Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 i had to remove my other hamers from the room before looking at that. they were crying.
Steve Haynie Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 tobereeno replaced a fretboard on one of his Hamers. This could be a fun project for someone!
