Three Hamer Specials and a PRS Mira

For your consideration - TWO nifty guitars. Two sold, thank you.

ONE Hamer Special. $575, shipped and insured UPS, CONUS. Comes in a nice hard, but non-Hamer marked case.

A PRS Mira, $1,200, same.

The PRS is in a PRS-marked HSC.

First is the TV yellow Hamer. 1990s standard stuff here, a fairly small and thin neck, Duncan P90s. No issues. No dings. It is pretty darn pristine in my opinion, but I will let the pics do the talking.

EDIT - TV YELLOW SOLD!

Next up is the TV yellow's glossy black brother. Pretty much the same story, except black . . . showing off every speck of dust.

Finally, a PRS Mira. Bought on a whim, but PRS, even the less gaudy ones like this one, just aren't my thing. No dings, except there might be a tiny bit of wear on the bass-side headstock point, which I tried to photograph. The pickguard has a bit of minor hazing. Standard neck, as opposed to "wide-thin."

Oh, and I've never done any deals on this board, but this being the Hamer board, it's just the place for Hamers, right? Plenty of deals on HC under "Chairborne," a few deals on TGP under "SUBmariner," and 155 or so, 100 percent on eBay under "axmaestro."

Ditto, I has hoping as I scrolled that it was later 90's Special. I would have drove to Ohio to kick your ass for it... :D

Dammit, was gonna get the Red one...looks like I'm on a bad luck roll with the Hamers lately, missed the refin vector, missed this, gave up the repaired neck special...maybe I should take thit as a sign...

haha, it's a sign you need to scrounge together a few more bucks and invest in a fine unmolested Special . . . :D

nah, i like em rough. I had a bound and crowned gold top p-90 with fralins. Nicest guitar I've ever owned, stayed in the case, never played it live once, was to scared to scratch it.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but since the red one's fairly rough right now, I'm thinking about Eclipse-style body contours, a set of TV Jones Filtertrons, and a bass boat sparkle finish of some sort :P

By the way, buy with confidence...Eric's a great guy to deal with.

I hadn't even made it this far down in the thread, and was thinking along those lines - Gold metalflake, single TV Jones in the bridge, and a little Stike magic.

But that much discoloration is abit offputting. Well I'm still 475 bucks short so it doesn't really matter anyway.

I got the black one - it was in perfect shape w no discoloration. I don't know if the Mira is still for sale.

Hi, far from the origin but as you had both, could you please give me your opinion on MIRA/Hamer Special ?

In fact, with the anniversary model on 245 and soap bar, I would like to imagine the difference with the special ?
