dboy66 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Here's a fun one....While helping the sound guy get the p.a. out of the van, I somehow caught my hand between a falling road case and the van wall. It hurt, but I didn't give it a thought. All through the evening, my left hand where the index finger attaches throbbed. The swelling wouldn't go down, even while holding a glass of ice water.Long story, short....I broke my friggin' hand. The bone in the palm that the finger attaches to cracked right through. I have two gigs this weekend and it's STILL not comfortable to hold a guitar neck.I wish you would have mentioned it bro. I'm an ER doc in Chicago. Could have gotten you taken care of right then and there.

Many thanks to Chris Matthes and the Herman brothers for putting this all together. Heartfelt thanks to Paul for sharing a big part of your life with us. And thanks to your lovely wife and wonderful family for persevering through all the years in the guitar biz. It was great to see a few familiar faces again - Badger Dave (thanks for hauling us to Make-n-Music and the Twisted Spoke), George & Carmie (thanks for hauling us to the Rock Bottom and back to our hotel), Shawn (thanks for bringing the Miller 12), MCChris (don’t know if I should thank you or cuss at you for Rossi’s ), and Brian…did I forget anyone? And great to finally meet a few in person - BCRGreg, bruce919, cmatthes, dboy66, elduave, FunkyE9th, gatorbyte007, HamStd, hector, RacerX, Steve Haynie, Stevieconlon, SVL, Travis, Veatch And thanks to Joe (earachemyeye) and Bruce (shredmeister) for being the other two-thirds of the triangle that kept us all from falling over on the way back to the hotel on Saturday night.
