I'm finding the forum less inviting but it's primarily because of how I use it.

In the past, I've always just refreshed by clicking the new content link. When I do that now, the format of the page is different than the typical forum view, with each topic taking up about an inch of real estate across my screen. Given I keep my browser on a 22" screen that remains in portrait mode, one would think I could display more than a dozen topics at a time.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to reduce the vertical space taken by each topic, primarily in the "new content" view, but even in the regular forum view it could appear better.
