a.bandini Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Lovely, but that it is a relisting takes some of the luster off.
serial Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I never understood the rationale of "I'm having a hard time selling at one price-let me ask MORE for it" either. Then again, at least the listing was scrubbed of the absolutely nauseating maple tree BS that was there last night.
MCChris Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I never understood the rationale of "I'm having a hard time selling at one price-let me ask MORE for it" either. Then again, at least the listing was scrubbed of the absolutely nauseating maple tree BS that was there last night. It was worse than this horseshit?"Yes, The maple top is georgous but the tone of this guitar is what makes it hard to put down. Hamer's custom shop is one of the best in the world. All of their guitars are made by hand by a small team of dedicated luthiers like the old days at Gibson and PRS. It is a difference you can feel and hear plus each guitar is unique. This Talladega is a a supereb instrument. It has that tele vibe but produces tones as sweet as honey. The sustain block bridge and semi hollow (chambered) body makes this guitar very loud unplugged and is sustains all day. The Double D single coil pickups are amazing. They are made by Seymour Duncan and sound similar to p90s in terms of range which works very well in this guitar. The action is superb and intonation is as as close to perfect as you can get. Fret work (a Hamer trademark) is exceptional. Nice smooth frets make for easy bar cords and string bends. There is not a scratch on this guitar, you could call it new but it's 3 years old. Fret wear is near nil. Buyer will also receive Certificate of Authenticty, Original Case and Case Candy."Oh, and eBay sucks.

The guitar doesn't show in the current seller's "Completed Listing" at least...
serial Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I wouldn't doubt if it's the same seller or a proxy. The original auction was full of, well let's say "overtones" that kind of identify it as likely the same seller. And McChris is correct.
ib2010 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Hey, it's Valentines week, a little romance , just spilled over into the wrong place.
gorch Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 Having a notifier running at Ebay for Tallies, this one is a first step announcement if I haven't missed one.
tonefiend Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Fake stories, multiple listings, price changes, attitude... what next?I'm pretty sure this is the same guitar, and if it's not, bad timing and a case of mistaken identity surround this guitar. If it is the same guitar, I'm sure we'll see some traits of the first posts - oh wait, that already happened.Drama!
veatch Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 It's definitely the same guitar, that's for sure.
