zorrow Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Is it like this? ...or it's the contrary? As I've seen listed as "zebra" what is tagged as "reverse zebra" in the picture above.
Hamer Dave Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Gibson apparently did it both ways...http://home.provide.net/~cfh/paf.html
FrankieIII Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Duncan will still do double-creme but it will have a cover over it when it leaves their shop...
tomteriffic Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Duncan will still do double-creme but it will have a cover over it when it leaves their shop...True, I ordered an SH-14 that way and it came covered.
Armitage Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 That way they're not selling you double cream, it's a covered pickup... that "happens" to be double cream under the covers. Ha!And yeah, Gibson has done it both ways. From what I've been told it was simply the way the coils came in from the manufacturers. They ran low on the blacking and shipped them "uncolored"... i.e. cream.
