Disturber Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 This is a great band from the south of Sweden. Check it out:
pirateflynn Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 haha .. stoner rock! This song kind of reminds me of looser faster Soundgarden.
Disturber Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 haha .. stoner rock! This song kind of reminds me of looser faster Soundgarden.Yeah, maybe not stoner... got a little carried away. I heard them today and decided I got check them out live in August. They sound retro.
pirateflynn Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Don't get me wrong .. I am not opposed to stoners, rock, or stoner rock! Sounds cool to me.
sixesandsevens Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks for the recommendation! Most of the bands these guys really draw inspiration from are before my time, but I've been digging stuff like Wolfmother and this a lot lately. In my mind, these guys went back to where they think rock hadn't yet lost its way and try for a do-over.
G Man Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 yeah, works for me. I love stoner rock, mostly just riff heavy blues based rock, what's not to like?
zenmindbeginner Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Those guys are definitely BAKED. lolz!I LOVE it! The drummer is AWESOME! Great vocals too.
Rodan Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I like the loose feel, too. Trying not to listen with my eyes, too - video has a definite throwback vibe.Maybe a bit of old 'Sabbath in there, too...
JGale Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Don't get me wrong .. I am not opposed to stoners, rock, or stoner rock! Sounds cool to me. Wait, what!?
alaskagrown Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 LOVE these guys... If you like them, also check out Witchcraft, another Swedish band. Fantastic band in the classic folky-doom rock style... Is that even a genre? I guess it is now, and I like it.Graveyard's first US tour was opening for Witchcraft, but Graveyard stole the show for me!

I had a long drive yesterday and listened to the whole Graveyard album and I dug the whole thing. A few tracks surprised me a little, but in a good way.
