I vote Orange 4x12 (PPC412) ... Best sounding cab I've ever heard ... perfect match w/ a Marshall

I have two avatar classic 2x12 cabs. (old m75's) Also, nice cabs.

I also have my two old Marshall 4x12 angle cabs, (Greenbacks & 65's , my old gigging cabs).

A late model Orange 2x12 also sounds way huge for it's size.

Cabinets/speakers are very subjective so your best bet is to take your amp head with your guitar to your local shop and play both through various cabinets to see what tickles your fancy. YMMV...

If I was getting a 4x12 I would strongly consider a scumback cab with the prerola reissue speakers.

I will second the scumback prerola speakers . They sound great with anything from the Marshall amp family . I have seen some of the scumback 4x12 with an adjustable back port . I thought it was a very interesting idea but did not try it out personally .

Don't cabinets 'react' differently, depending on the speakers you install in them? I would think the speaker itself is more important than the wood of the box that it's mounted-in....edumucate me here....
