DBraz Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 SOLD! Hi guys. I am trimming down some of my collection as, unlike some I won't mention, I am not prepared to leave unplayed guitars under a bed in their case without the use they deserve. I have a new motto, or rather my wife does. If one guitar is added to the wall collection, one has to go. I have a custom Nocturne guitar merely months away so this is the one that has to go. It is COMPLETELY UNMARKED. No scratches, no dents, do dings, no paintwork faults, no paint wear on the trem unit etc. This is quite literally like it has been left alone for the majority of it's life, or has been time-warped two decades. It is a very rare model (I have never seen another one) and has a finish that isn't done justice by the photos. It even has a small replaceable plastic protection sheet adjacent to the pickups to prevent pick scratches! The guitar is a 1992 USA BC Rich ST-3. The spec is as follows:- Kahler 2760 Steeler Locking trem Seymour Duncan Bridge Humbucker (BC Rich issue, unsure of model) Dimarzio Single coils X 2 (BC Rich issue, unsure of model) Sperzel Tuners Reverse headstock (factory option) 3 colour splatter paintwork on black (factory option) Ebony fretboard Maple neck I believe the body is Alder although I am not 100% This guitar was last professionally set up a year ago and has probably been played in my front room 10 times since then. It plays very well, has perfect tuning after dive bombs (the trem looks brand new so no surprises there), is set-up reasonably low, and has a fast/wide neck. I will include the receipt/set-up document with the sale. The HSC is not an original BC Rich but is fine. I would prefer to sell this to someone in the UK, ideally to someone who will pick it up so that they can see what they are getting. You will not believe the condition, It is that good. The guitar was pictured mainly outside as the finish is very difficult to photograph. The guitar was supported on cotton wool to prevent any scratching!! Further pictures/information available upon request. SOLD dbrazington@hotmail.com
Victor (Fret Friend) Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Nice looker but wrong time for me dude (just snagged a Cali in the UK this weekend)...
Jem Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Thought you we're going to keep it, there's still some wall space left ?
DBraz Posted October 29, 2012 Author Posted October 29, 2012 Thought you we're going to keep it, there's still some wall space left ?I was Jem. It is soo nice for it's age but... I have 3 other guitars I would like on the wall, plus the Nocturne when that is complete. Sarah says I should keep it "if it makes me happy" but I know she'll change her mind when the others turn up!
Jem Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Well, just in case anyone's interested in it, i can concur that there really isn't a mark on it and in fact i've seen scruffier stock hanging on a wall proclaiming to be new.
Armitage Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I've got a half dozen USA ST-3 and they're great playing and sounding guitars. I play them much more often then my Soloists.
Bennyboy-UK Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 What's the spec of the Nocturne - is this the Ultimate grade one of legend?
DBraz Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 What's the spec of the Nocturne - is this the Ultimate grade one of legend? That it is my friend, that it is.

DBraz Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 He's not pulling any punch's with this one Ben, that's for sure. If it can be pimped it has been pimped It will look, how can we put it.. Unique and beautiful. I bet you were shocked when you got the first brief. It will make Dillard's seem cultured by comparison!
Bennyboy-UK Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 'Ere Jem, Unexpectedly increase the price by 50% so he has to flog his Cali to me knockdown and as compensation.
Jem Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Believe you me, this ain't a cheap build by any stretch of the imagination, baby is on the way and he know's it may be his last chance. Mind you, i suppose i might be hearing from you over the next year or so LoL
DBraz Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 BC Rich sold. It is wrong to suddenly have feelings of regret? At least it is going to a good home... @Jem. Mate, this has always been the ultimate for me. Something I hope that hasn't been done before. Yes, it may be a while until I order another one. 2014 perhaps?
DBraz Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 'Ere Jem, Unexpectedly increase the price by 50% so he has to flog his Cali to me knockdown and as compensation.I spent years looking for my Cali. It is going nowhere. My car/house would likely go first!
devrock Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 As a BCR snob, that thing is amazing! And a rev HS to go with an ebony board (most ST-IIIs have rosewood) is a major bonus. Whoever scored this is one lucky mofo.
