John E Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Non-original knobs... What about them makes you say that? The tuners have been off and on. Plugged holes from something else. Grovers?
kurtsstuff Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Cool guitar but....after you reset the neck have a tailpiece and saddle installed then refinish it to a sunburst it'll be even cooler!!!!!
mbratch Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Cool guitar but....after you reset the neck have a tailpiece and saddle installed then refinish it to a sunburst it'll be even cooler!!!!! That might make the guitar cooler, but the refinish would make it lose a lot of it's value as a collectable.
BCR Greg Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Those are original knobs. 1952-53 knob, second row, far left.

SirDouglas Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 Well lemme clarify a few things about this.. ive gotten alot of emails on this so i need to make it clear that there is NO BREAK IN THE NECK( ) the tuning keys are NOT original as previously stated... (my bad on that) the holes were difficult to see... right ones yes... original ones no..... there was a bridge replacement.... as evident with the holes were widened BUT THE ORIGINAL BRIDE IS ON IT!... and a wire was replaced... inside... (OH GOD NO!!!!!!)... Thursday this goes on eBay.... oh god im not looking to that... ugh idiot central... make your deals now... send me emails... 1 person has first dibs on it .. were still working it out .. but if it falls through lemme know before thursday morning... UGH... christ this is like a job now haha Sir Douglas Randy
