rugby1970 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I'm looking at the P90 Goldtop on eBay. What model did Hamer use as a platform for this guitar? Any specs or references would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to all.
cynic Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 It's a Sunburst Archtop/Studio with P90s. Aside from the inlays, pretty much the same guitar as listed on their site here.I can't say, but the neck carve might be different than the "vintage" carve listed on the specs, so that might be something to look into more.
ghamerinfrance Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Looking as well If indicated as a 2005 model, this may be a vintage carve neck model... Model listed on different sites, as well, as on reverb... We are narrowing now the "market" price
cynic Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 It's listed as a 1995 on eBay and a 2005 on Reverb. Given the lack of victory inlays, I'd go with 1995.
tomteriffic Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 If it's a 1995 and true to form (looks like it to me), It's based on a Studio Custom. It has a rock maple top and P-90's (obviously). The neck would be a medium C, not a vintage carve.
serial Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Seller had it listed as a 2005-I corrected him (it's a 1995-a 54---- number) and he changed it.
ghamerinfrance Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 It seems the guitar already found a way to one of us Happy for the buyer
