Trying to identify Sunburst year

Hello

I have a Hamer Sunburst. I know it is a late 1970's model because it has the late 70's headstock and It used to have Grover tuners but someone replaced them with Schallers.

I am having trouble identifying the year because there is no serial number on it. I'm hoping someone can identify the year based on the pots.

Its hard to see from the picture but the value on the pots is 1377851.

Added more pictures.

Notice how there are no dots after the U the S and the A.

It is USA instead of U.S.A.

Notice how there is a screw where the grovers used to be. Also no serial number.

"This potentiometer was made by

CTS Corporation (Chicago Telephone Supply)
in the 51st week of 1978

This means that (given this is an original part) this is the earliest possible date your guitar (speaker) was made.

There were quite a few subtle changes made over 78/79/80, so shots of the guitar itself may actually provide better information to narrow it down, but if the pots are original it sounds like its a 79.

I'd need to see the whole thing for a better idea, but it's definitely a '79 and from the first half of the year (up to late Spring).

The headstock has been refinned. That is NOT an original logo. It's kind of a messed up one - the fonts are all wrong.

Looks like you are correct. Everything looks original pickups, pots etc but for some reason the headstock has been refined. Not sure why. But that's probably why no serial number.

Also I just noticed they covered the top hole for the truss rod cover when they refined it.

Thanks

Yep. It just doesn't look like any logo I've seen. Explains no serial #. Still cool guitar. Looks like a one piece neck (if original), so early 79 I'd agree with.
